Look, if you’ve ever said something like:
“I’ll start once things calm down…”
I need you to know this with love:
Nothing is calming down.
Life is basically a rotating plate of school pickups, work deadlines, family group texts, random dentist appointments you forgot about, and the never-ending question…
“What’s for dinner?”
If you’ve been waiting for a pocket of peace to magically appear so you can build your digital business — I have good news:
You don’t need peace.
You need GRIT, a plan, and tiny windows of time.
Let’s talk about how to build your business when life feels like a cute little tornado.
#1: Accept the Chaos (It’s Not Going Anywhere)

Perfection is a seductive little liar.
It whispers:
“Once the holidays are over…”
“Once work slows down…”
“Once the kids are older…”
“Once Mercury stops doing whatever the heck it does…”
Except here’s the secret the internet won’t tell you:
Most successful digital businesses were built in chaos — not calm.
Mine included.
So instead of waiting for your life to become a spa commercial, we build around real life.
This is literally the first mindset shift of the GRIT Way:
Chaos isn’t the obstacle — it’s the environment.
#2: Use Tiny Windows, Not Fantasy Blocks

Most women think they need a cozy 4-hour uninterrupted work block, soft music, warm lighting, and a latte to build their business.
Reality is more like:
- 17 minutes in the car line
- 22 minutes during nap time
- 38 minutes after bedtime
- 12 minutes between meetings
And guess what?
Those tiny windows?
They compound beautifully.
The GRIT Way = 20–40 minute power windows
In that time you can:
✔ write one email
✔ outline one lesson
✔ design one carousel
✔ schedule one pin
✔ tweak your sales page
✔ film a quick reel
✔ automate a workflow
No latte required (though highly encouraged).
#3: Choose ONE Business Move Per Day

Chaos makes your brain say: “There’s so much to do, maybe I’ll just… scroll and panic.”
So instead of juggling 19 tasks and then lying face-down on the couch, we simplify:
One business move per day.
Here’s my favorite weekly rhythm (aka the GRIT Flow):
- Monday → Visibility (Pinterest + SEO)
- Tuesday → Social Content (IG/TT/FB)
- Wednesday → Systems + Optimization
- Thursday → Offers + Monetization
- Friday → Money + Metrics
- Weekend → Rest or Bonus Creativity
When you do this, two things happen:
- Your business moves forward every week.
- You stop asking “What should I do today?” (hallelujah)
#4: Automate the Boring Stuff

Chaos drains decision-making power — so automation is your new best friend.
Automate anything that feels like “ugh, again?” such as:
⚙️ email delivery
⚙️ product access
⚙️ onboarding
⚙️ checkout + payment
⚙️ nurture emails
⚙️ repurposed content
⚙️ scheduling
Tools I love (because they don’t make me want to cry):
- ConvertKit (email + delivery + automation)
- Showit (websites that don’t fight me)
- SamCart / ConvertKit Commerce (checkout)
- Pinterest Scheduler (visibility on autopilot)
Less clicking → more building.
#5: Default to Done, Not Perfect

Perfection kills more dreams than chaos ever will.
The GRIT Way motto:
Done quietly beats the perfect never.
Post the messy reel.
Publish the simple sales page.
Send the imperfect email.
Launch before you feel “ready.”
Messy consistency builds empires.
#6: Build Realistic Containers for Your Life

We’re not building businesses that require you to become a different person or abandon your family.
We’re building businesses that fit into your life as it is.
Containers look like:
- “One blog per week”
- “One product before 12 products”
- “One customer journey before five funnels”
Your nervous system will thank you.
#7: Your Chaos Is Not a Disqualification – It’s a Clue

Busy women make incredible digital CEOs because we are:
✔ resourceful
✔ scrappy
✔ fast problem-solvers
✔ allergic to wasting time
✔ masters of context switching
We don’t need quiet.
We need focus, flow, and systems.
That’s the GRIT Way.
Final Pep Talk for the Chaotic Digital CEO

If you’re building a business between school drop-offs, Slack messages, laundry cycles, and the occasional existential meltdown — you’re doing it right.
You don’t need a calmer life.
You need the right strategy for the life you already have.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing over here.
