Hi, I'm KIM

more about me

Let me guess — the calendar flipped, your inbox is full of “new year, new you” energy, and somewhere between the third cup of coffee and your to-do list, a thought popped into your head:

“What if this is the year I finally start my digital business?”

First of all — hi, welcome. You’re in exactly the right place.

Second — let me save you a whole lot of unnecessary stress right out of the gate:

Starting strong does not mean starting big.
And it definitely doesn’t mean starting perfect.

It means starting clear.

So if you’re brand new (or still feeling brand new), here’s your beginner-friendly, no-panic guide to starting your digital business strong this January — without spiraling, overbuying, or burning yourself out by February.

Step 1: Stop Waiting to “Feel Ready” (it’s a trap)

Let’s just get this out of the way.

You are not behind.
You are not late.
And you are definitely not “missing something” that everyone else magically has.

Most people don’t fail at starting a business because they lack talent or ideas — they get stuck waiting to feel ready.

Here’s the truth your best friend would tell you over coffee:
You don’t become ready before you start.
You become ready because you start.

Clarity comes from action — not planning yourself into exhaustion.

Starting strong means giving yourself permission to begin imperfectly and learn as you go.

Step 2: Choose Simplicity Over Hustle (every time)

January has a way of making everything feel urgent.

New goals. New routines. New pressure to “do it all.”

But the strongest digital businesses aren’t built on hustle — they’re built on simple systems that stack.

So instead of asking:
“How do I build the biggest business possible?”

Ask:
“What’s the simplest thing I can build that actually helps someone?”

Strong starts look like:

  • one clear idea
  • one audience you understand
  • one problem you know how to solve

Not a website with 12 pages.
Not five offers.
Not a color-coded life overhaul.

Just one focused step forward.

Step 3: Get Clear on What You’re Building (before you build it)

This is where so many beginners accidentally make things harder than they need to be.

You don’t need a complicated business model — you need clarity.

Ask yourself:

  • Who do I want to help?
  • What do they struggle with right now?
  • What do I already know that could help them move forward?

That’s it.

Your first digital business doesn’t need to be a “forever decision.”
It just needs to be a starting point.

Momentum beats perfection every single time.

Step 4: Build for Real Life (not an imaginary one)

This part matters more than most people admit.

Your business needs to fit your real life — not a fantasy version where:

  • you have unlimited time
  • your house is always quiet
  • you never get tired

Starting strong in January means being honest about:

  • your schedule
  • your energy
  • your current season

You’re not building to impress anyone.
You’re building something sustainable — something that doesn’t require you to burn out just to prove it’s working.

And yes, that still leads to growth.

Step 5: Don’t Try to Figure it All Out Alone

Here’s the quiet truth behind most “overnight success” stories:

They didn’t do it alone.

They learned from people who had already walked the path.
They followed a framework instead of guessing.
They asked for help before they were desperate.

And if you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do first — that doesn’t mean you’re bad at this.

It means you’re ready for guidance.

The Most Important Part (read this twice)

Starting strong in January isn’t about doing more.

It’s about:

  • choosing clarity over chaos
  • direction over distraction
  • support over struggle

You don’t need a perfect plan.
You need a next step.

And if you want help finding yours, I’m hosting a free workshop this week where I walk through:

  • how a digital business actually works
  • what to focus on first (and what to ignore)
  • how to build something that fits your life — not runs it
